In an effort to learn more about wine and to see where it will take me, I’m launching this blog. It will, hopefully, become my book of knowledge over the years.
Update: September 3, 2012
Last August, I launched this blog with the intent on building a book of knowledge about wine that I could use to propel myself into the industry as a sales rep or some other profession that would foster my love of wine and allow me to drink new and interesting varietals and vintages every day.
I started this blog to create a book of knowledge about wine that I could use to find a career as a wine sales rep or some other profession in the industry. But life has a tendency to get away from us when we don’t pay attention and although my work has taken a different path, my love for wine still remains. Considering Wine has given me some great experiences over the last year. I have been able to volunteer for the Texas Wine and Food Foundation pouring wine at their always-fabulous events. I got to meet Rex Pickett, who wrote the book Sideways that became the movie, which became the nemesis of Merlot. And I have had the privilege of meeting some local experts in the field and learned from them. The wine community is life-giving. It consists of people who are smart, interesting, diverse, and welcoming.
Considering Wine has been on my mind lately and I have been compelled to start it up again. My goal for the second year of this blog is to learn more about wine so I can share more about wine. I believe this blog will be a place where I can serve my readers and the community. I’m not sure how, but I’m here to find out.

hi Ashley…want to thank you & Nathan for the tasty Xmas dinner and great wine, the latter obviously a far cry from the boxed crap I submit my taste buds to : ) I like your blog and the passion for wine you write with; clicking the notify button below to follow it. Here’s that dream blog I mentioned; my web/pen name I use for it’s an illogical one that appeared in a dream long ago. http://sandersdreams.blogspot.com/
cheers!
